Created an offer but it's not appearing on your Shopify storefront?

We understand how frustrating this can be, and we're here to help! Often, it's just a small but crucial step that may have been missed during setup.

Here are some of the most frequent reasons why your offer might not be showing, along with simple steps to resolve each issue:

1. Incorrect Offer Placement

For some themes, it can be difficult to distinguish between the cart drawer and the cart page when selecting the correct placement for their offer. Here's how they differ:

  • Cart Drawer: The cart drawer allows you to remain on the product page while showing the products you've added to your cart. It is typically displayed as a slide-out panel on the side of the page.

  • Cart Page: The cart page, on the other hand, takes you away from the product page and shows all the items in your cart on a separate page.

Understanding these differences ensures the offer placement matches the type of cart your store uses.

To fix this:

  1. Click your offer title to open it.

  2. Navigate to the Visibility tab.

  3. Click the drop-down arrow and select the correct placement to match your store’s cart method.

  4. Save your changes.

  5. Refresh the page on your store, or test in an incognito window to ensure that your offer displays correctly.

2. App blocks were not added to the theme

The Cart Drawer Offers are displayed using a Shopify theme app embed, which needs to be enabled for the offer to appear in the cart drawer. However, offers on the Product Page and Cart Page require app blocks, which must be manually added to your theme depending on where you want the offer to appear.

To fix this, you have two options based on where you want the offer to be displayed:

Option 1: Follow the Onboarding Instructions in the App

  1. Go back to the app.

  2. On the app homepage, click the Start Setup button on the onboarding card to begin.

  3. Follow the instructions to enable the app embed for Cart Drawer Offers and to add the necessary app blocks for Product Page Offers and Cart Page Offers, depending on your desired placement.

  4. Make sure to save your changes when you're done.

Option 2: Manually Add App Blocks via the Theme Editor

  1. Go to your Shopify Theme Editor.

  2. Decide where you want the offer to appear (Product Page or Cart Page).

  3. Hover over that section and click the plus icon that appears.

  4. Search for In Cart Upsell blocks that appear in the app list.

  5. Click the In Cart Upsell block to add it to the desired location.

  6. After adding the app blocks, save your changes and refresh your store to see the updates.

3. Products Are Saved as Draft or Out of Stock

Upsell offers will not be displayed if the products being offered are either saved as draft products - or are out of stock. This ensures that shoppers only see offers for products that are available for purchase.

To fix this:

  1. Go to your Shopify Admin and navigate to Products.

  2. Check the product status for the items in your offer:

  3. If the product is saved as a draft, update its status to Active.

  4. If the product is out of stock, update the inventory or adjust the product settings to allow selling when out of stock (if applicable).

  5. Go back to the app and remove the product from the offer.

  6. Re-add the product to the offer to ensure the new data is synced with the app.

  7. Save your changes, refresh your store, and check if the offer is now displayed.
