Before we get started on with setting up your A/B Testing please see the link to the article below on "What is A/B Testing?"

There are two ways to conduct A/B testing with “In Cart Upsell and Cross-sell", depending on what needs to be tested.

Offer text and Call to Action

The first approach can be used when testing how the Offer Text and Call to Action (CTA) influence the performance of a single offer. It is critical to include both versions when conducting the A/B test, as not doing so can result in an error. When testing the button or the headline independently, simply copy and paste the original version of the text into the respective areas.

Follow the steps below to set up the first approach.

  • Under the “Content” tab in the offer builder, scroll down to the “Text” section where you will see the option to enable A/B Testing.

  • Click the checkbox to enable A/B Testing

  • Add alternative versions of the Offer Text and CTA in the text boxes provided.

How will you know which version won?

The system will automatically test and provide data pertaining to the click rate of each version of the offer. You can access this information in the offer itself; just edit the offer to view the data.

Product A vs Product B

The second approach is applicable when testing two different products against each other. In this case, simply create two offers with the same set of rules. If two offers satisfy the same criteria, one is randomly selected. Once this is done, one can easily measure the click rate of the first offer against the second.
